Based in Greater Manchester over the last 16 years we have taught over 170,000 children to learn to swim.
Our first business venture was under the brand Total Swimming Academies and we had a partnership in Liverpool to build temporary pools in schools, providing an opportunity for children in deprived communities the chance to learn a lifesaving skill during their PE lessons. Soon afterwards Total Swimming Academies started to hire school pools in North West England to deliver swimming lessons to local communities.
In 2014 Becky Adlington joined Total Swimming and set up Becky Adlington Swim Stars hiring pool space in private gyms.
By 2017 the business had achieved its growth plan to realise the ambition to lease a retail premises to build an above ground pool to create swim! our purpose built family centred learn to swim venues.
A restructure of the business in 2023 has brought together all 3 swimming businesses under one brand we are swim.
